Crib bedding enhances the decor for any baby’s nursery, but you may attain both function and safety without a matching set of bedding. Keep in mind, your pediatrician can answer a lot of your questions about infant bedding, but the best advice is to keep it to a minimum.
Take stuffed animals and pillows out of the crib – no matter how adorable -before your baby sleeps in it, because they present a suffocation risk. As long as you are watching, your child can play with toys in the crib, but take them out as soon as he becomes sleepy, and make sure they’re out of reach.
You know it is time for a pillow and comforter when your child is ready for a toddler bed, but realize that even though there are more options for decorating that it will be your child who will want to pick out the choices.
